Accessing therapy can be a daunting prospect for many people. To tell a complete stranger your problems takes courage. If you are ready and take that step into the counselling room, it will give you the opportunity to explore thoughts, feelings and concerns that are important to you in a safe and confidential setting. Counselling provides a space for growth and development, wisdom and wellbeing, confidence and creativity.
Whatever your difficulties might be, I am here to offer you a safe non-judgmental space for you to explore. Moving at your own pace, we can identify the issues that are effecting your life, which will in time empower you to understand yourself better and will give you the strength to make better choices for yourself and improve your life to reach your full potential.
With a greater acceptance and understanding of why we behave the way we do when things become much clearer, we can begin to live more fulfilling lives. We can create better relationships with ourselves resulting in more fulfilling relationship with others.
I offer sessions for individuals with a wide range of issues: Anxiety, depression, low moods, OCD, conflict resolution, relationship issues, fertility, miscarriage, panic attacks, addictions, weight issues and low self-esteem, bereavement and many more.
I have counselled couples for a number of years. I feel privileged when couples let me into their intimate relationship and show me up close what the issues are. It is a unique relationship. My aim is not to fix your relationship but to help you to fix your relationship. I work with affairs, new parents as well as couples going through break ups, separation, adoption and fertility issues, depression and anxiety within the relationship. I help couples learn how to become more intimate and communicate effectively about sex. Most importantly I help couples learn how to communicate properly and resolve conflicts.
Obesity can cause low self-esteem and depression. The most common problem is an unhealthy attachment to food. I can help you to recognise the patterns around comfort eating and help you start making healthier choices around food.
